Temperature balance is the invisible core of high-endprecision mold production. Uneven mold temperature distribution leads to inconsistent plastic filling speed, unbalanced cooling speed and residual internal stress, resulting in product warpage, torsion, uneven shrinkage and unstable size. Professional thermal balance management makes the entire precision mold work in a constant and uniform temperature environment, ensuring long-term stable molding quality.
We integrate thermal balance simulation and constant temperature optimization into every precision mold development project. By optimizing water channel layout, heat conduction structure and heat dissipation balance, we control the overall mold temperature difference within a tiny range, achieving uniform filling and uniform cooling for precision products.
Defects Caused by Poor Mold Thermal Balance
Ordinary precision molds have obvious temperature differences between core and cavity, thick glue areas and thin-wall areas. High-temperature areas cool slowly, causing shrinkage and sinking marks, while low-temperature areas solidify quickly, resulting in insufficient filling and material shortage. Temperature deviation leads to different shrinkage rates of different product positions, causing serious warpage and torsion deformation.
Unbalanced mold temperature also causes repeated precision drift of the precision mold in long-term production, accelerating local mold wear and reducing mold service life, bringing continuous quality risks to batch production.
Our Constant Temperature Thermal Balance Optimization Method
In the early design stage of the precision mold, we use thermal simulation software to analyze the heat distribution of the entire mold. We add enhanced cooling structures for heat-concentrated areas and properly optimize water channels for low-temperature areas to balance the overall mold temperature.
We adopt separated core and cavity independent temperature control systems to ensure synchronous cooling speed of inner and outer mold surfaces. For precision thin-wall and asymmetric products, we design asymmetric water circuits to adapt to unbalanced product structures and achieve consistent cooling effect.
Long-Term Production Stability Value
Thermal balance optimized precision mold effectively eliminates product deformation and size deviation caused by temperature difference, greatly improves product yield, and keeps consistent molding quality for millions of injection cycles. It is an essential advanced technology for high-end precision mold mass production.
